Mehendi Afternoon

Day 1 of this fun wedding began with the Mehendi Afternoon. This event was rightfully set outdoors and had an Indian Mela theme to it, with brightly coloured flags, a colour pop photobooth with a vintage bike, intricately decorated umbrellas, and anything else you can think of in an Indian Mela including a station for a Karak Chai Wala and choodis, the décor of this event did not lack in its attention to detail. The highlight of the event was the Garba, when the families and friends came together for an out of season but just as fun garba celebration!  For all the Bride to Be’s out there, take a note and do not be afraid to try something new!

Sangeet Evening

After a very desi Mehendi Afternoon, our couple decided to turn it around and have a Moulin Rouge themed Sangeet. Dark reds, blacks, pearls and feathers were the mood of the evening. One felt like a star entering the theater with the jazzed up entrance of light bulbs and tassels. Which led them to the photobooth with fun props and a retro setting. The stage in itself was the focal point of the event with it shaped to look like a large frame with light bulbs and flanked on either side with visuals custom made just for the night and a large hashtag.

On the note of the hashtag, we need to tell you about how this amazing hashtag came to be. It was not only the starting letters of the couple, Chirag and Karishma but also the fact that they both wear reading glasses and the groom is an Optician!! How cool is that!

Wedding Pheras

After ending the Sangeet evening on a very high note at 4 in the morning, the next day saw everyone up early and eager for another fun day. The day began with breakfast and soon followed with the Mandap Ropan for the bride and the Grooms Baraat shortly after.

The Pheras were a thing of beauty and grace, set in a blush pink and ivory tones. The theme was vintage delicate, the mandap was mirrored with an abundance of florals to add to the delicate décor. The sweetest moments were when the Brides brother comforted the teary eyed father of the bride. All in all, it was a perfect wedding.

The Reception

The final night of this amazing 2 day wedding. The evening was an elegant event and followed the lines of the Wedding Pheras in their delicate tones.  This cherry blossom/ Japanese themed evening had a wish tree at the entrance for friends and family to write their wishes for the happy couple, it also doubled as a beautiful photo op. A little whimsical detail that added a gorgeous touch to the evening was the couple’s cake being suspended from the branch of a cherry blossom tree, positioned next to the head table. Emotional speeches, thank you’s, wishes and a lot of dancing were all part of this fabulous night.

A splendid Wedding celebration to commemorate the union of a stunning couple.
