Real Weddings – Harsh & Komal – Sofitel Bahrain

Harsh & Komal’s wedding took place at the beautiful Sofitel Hotel, Zallaq, Bahrain. Being the largest Destination Indian Wedding in Bahrain with over 3 days of celebrations and over more than 1000 guests from all over the world, it was an exciting experience to look forward to. Komal’s family being one of the oldest expat family residing in Bahrain wanted the wedding celebrations to take place in Bahrain. They believed it is a way to give back to a place they feel like home away from home.

Day One began with a casual affair to break the ice between the families and friends. A soulful night with Shahid Shabaaz who with his delightful voice mesmerized guests from all generations. We went forward with the next day lunch event – The Morrocan Mehendi. We divided the ballroom in 2 zones, the groom side & the bride side. The décor was inspired straight of the streets of Marrakesh that saw hints of turquoise and pink in addition to other colours.

Our bride and groom were very inquisitive and always up for ideas which were out of the box. The requirement consisted of fun and memorable wedding celebrations that will be remembered by all the guests coming from Dubai, India & Bahrain itself. We indeed put together a magnum opus of celebrations for them.

Continuing the day with an out of the box idea for Sangeet Night – The Cirque Sangeet. We implemented quirky props & structures and a massive performance stage for the bride & groom that saw a large group of family members performances followed by the sensational Jonitha Gandhi’s performance. To add to our themed sangeet we opted for a carousel bar that stood out as an interactive zone of the evening.

Moving forward to the big day! It was an All white elegant affair where our beautiful crystal white mandap stole everyone’s heart. Our beautiful bride looked nothing less than a princess on her special day where she walked down under a veil of flowers on a mirror walkway aisle that led to the magnificent crystal and glass cascade mandap with blooming white flowers.

Our bride and groom had selected one of the best photography & videography team – Wedding Nama, to capture their beautiful wedding. When there are two families residing in different countries, that come together to host a destination wedding, constant communication is the key and with active exchange of information it helped us bring in a great show.

The wedding ceremony was followed by wedding dinner which was graced by Bahrain’s Royal family as a token of harmony and respect to both the families. The main highlight of the wedding was a surprise wedding video as a tribute from the Bride & Groom to their grandparents.

The celebrations ended in style with an afterparty at the famous Tapas Bar, which is a floating restaurant on the top of Gulf of Bahrain. We were enlightened to be a part of this beautiful celebrations at an amazing destination – Bahrain.
