Vivaah Weddings took part in an International Destination Wedding Planners Educational Trip to Switzerland – and what a trip it was! On 27 September, Arun and Rahul set off from Dubai to Lausanne via Geneva to join the most pleasant group of wedding planners from around the world in what would be a 3-day packed program of wonderful site visits across the beautiful country travelling by cars, trains, a vintage bus, a boat on Lac Leman, a funicular, and even a ski lift.
The professional team of Switzerland Tourism led by Guendalina Rampazzi put together a very interesting program that gave the delegates a great overview of what stunning Switzerland can offer as a Wedding Destination for small unique weddings, as well as, big fat Indian weddings.
From Lausanne to Montreau and onto Gstaad, Thun and Interlaken staying in grand city hotels and in a Swiss mountain hotel oozing with that Swiss chalet charm, Switzerland Tourism spared no effort to make sure that the group saw a wide array of venues, both indoors and outdoors, and felt the warm hospitality that Switzerland is renowned for.
There are many factors that make Switzerland a unique and perfect wedding destination for Indian couples. Needless to say, Switzerland’s stunning nature makes the most beautiful background for any picture perfect wedding photography.
The extraordinary venues we visited, whether the Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne or Porte des Iris, Grand Hôtel du Lac, Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, Le Grand Bellevue in Gstaad, Wasserngrat Restaurant in the mountains, Congress Hotel Seepark in Thun, Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel in Interlaken or the magnificent Congress Centre Kursaal Interlaken are ideal for the welcome dinner, mehndi, sangeet and the wedding celebrations.
